I drove past a strange art object of a bird. It advertised itself as Avian Forest and is on Bellevue Blvd. between Fontanelle Forest and Camp Wakonda.

Photo Book Review: Omaha Impressions
Omaha Impressions, Photography and Text by Mike Whye, Far Country Press, Helena, MT, 2008.
This book offers a photographic journey into Omaha and its surroundings. The book includes looks at open spaces, farms, green spaces etc., as well as looks at the buildings and skyscrapers of Omaha. There is even snow boarder close in Iowa. Pictures of waterways, lakes and ponds. All presented in an artistic flare. There is a picture of the gate at The Gerald Ford birthplace, covered in snow which is very nice to look at.
There is a photograph of Mormon Hollow in Bellevue where the Mormons stayed for a few months on their journey west. Pictures of uniformed men at fort Atkinson firing a cannon, and a picture of Fort Crook (now Offutt) in Bellevue.
There are many picturs of statues including at Mormon Pioneer by cemetery by Avard Fairbanks and Martin Luther King down town by Littleton Alston, the pioneers by Blair Buswell at Pioneer Courage Park. There are also views inside museums, Joslyn Art Museum and galleries, and Hot Shops Center.

More Temple Windows at Winter Quarters Temple
There are 12 window murals in the south window of the temple. They are each teaching a lesson about the immigration. I was able to find nine pictures of the 12 on line. The are much prettier in person with the light shining through them. Some almost look like rainbows in the clouds.
