Thunder Mountain in Imlay, Nevada

This structure is seen from the I-80 in Imlay, Nevada.  We have seen it from the road. but never stopped.  It is called Thunder Mountain and is said to display the mistreatment of the Native Americans.  Frank Van Zant moved to the area in 1969.  He is Creek.  The site was meant as a hippy commune and to provide spiritual enlightenment.  The site contains 200+ concrete monuments depicting Native Americans and their protective spirits.  It also has many found objects from the desert.
