Projected Art in the Underpass, Gene Leahy Mall

As part of the Mall there is an pedestrian underpass going under 10th street.  Along that underpass is a wall with projected design changing frequently.  The picture changes rather frequently and I don't know how many total there are, but it is pretty cool.  I watched for about ten minutes.

Sculpture garden+ at Gene Leahy Mall, Omaha

The most striking thing about Gene Leahy Mall is the large colorful sculpture on 13th street.  I haven't decided what it is but it is very vibrant.  On the north side of the park is the sculpture garden.

This sculpture is not in the garden but at the end of a water feature on the other side of the underpass.

Saguaro National Park East Visitors Center: Wood art, murals

The visitors center at Saguaro has an iunteresting garden outside; inside there is lots of wood art, and pictures showing the decline in the saguaro over the years.  The most interesting thing is the saguaro skeleton.  They are not put together like other plants.

Statuary at Lauritzen Garden

I am sure I missed some, but the statues at Lauritzen Garden are nice.  There are many of birds; but birds together so the make something else.  In the playground area there are many of children.  And there are replicas of trees.  There is even a crazy looking dinosaur.

Saulés Takas Lithuanian Sculpture Garden at Lauritzen Gardens

This is a sculpture garden off of the main path in Lauritzen Garden.  It honors Omaha's Lithuanian sister city Šiauliai.  The sculptures were carved by Saulés Takas.  They represent Lithuanian culture and stories.  The intricate plants and animals carved into the seats is very good, at the story of Jūraté and Kastytis is fascinating; a woodman and a sea goddess fall in love.
