Sara Jane Wardle Buff: Wedding Pictures

Sara was the oldest, and she was also the first to get married.  She married Clyde Eugene Buff whom she had met in Carbondale, Illinois.  She married one day after her 19th birthday, and a couple months after we moved back to Hyrum, Utah October 9, 1969.  Her reception was held at our home.  People came in the front door and the line was in our living room.  They would then go down the stairs where there were tables set up in the family room.  Me and my brothers were responsible to take the presents from people and put them on a table.  These are a few pictures from her wedding.

Charlie Wardle Our job was to greet people at the door. If they had presents we had to take them to the table in the kitchen. I was doing a good job until Aunt Sara Prestwich gave me a kiss. I got in trouble for wiping it off saying yuck. After that I stayed away from those older ladies that wanted to give a little boy a kiss.  Billy:  I remember gathering the presents, but I don't remember the kisses.
